Breeding Announcement!

During the period of March 7 – 9th, Lorraine bred her bitch, GCH Chaulait’s By The Grace Of Rebel, call name Gracie, to Janet Beckett’s (Lorenc) dog, BISS GCH Vallata Lorenc’s Urban Legend, call name Austin.

Not all breedings are successful and we won’t know the results for many weeks. The gestation period for Italian Greyhounds is 63 days, so Gracie’s due date, if she is indeed carrying, will be approximately May 11th. We will confirm her pregnancy as soon as we know via this blog.

This will be Gracie’s first litter, but she has a very impressive pedigree. Two of her littermates are also Grand Champions! Austin’s pedigree is no less impressive and he has sired many Grand Champions!

We will not know how many puppies will be available until about the 8th week after they are born. Both Lorraine and Janet have expressed interest in keeping one puppy for show, with the rest available to qualified owners. However there are no guarantees that there will be puppies available since we will not know the litter size, and thus available puppies, until they are born.
