Puppies at 5 Weeks Old
The puppies are now 5 weeks old and are growing quickly and becoming very active. If you notice, they are very well fed…fact is, Mattie might be a little too well fed. We are also able to discern some of their individual personality traits.
Chaulait’s Heart Of Gold
Oro is the lightest coated puppy and is easily distinguishable by his full white collar and sports a lot of white on the right side of his face. He seems to be the friendliest of the puppies and always seems to be wagging his tail.
Chaulait’s Key To My Heart
Keyster was easily identified by the white keyhole like patch on the back of his collar, but it will probably disappear in the near future. His left rear leg is mostly red down to his hock, then white down to his paw. He is one of the rambunctious puppies.
Chaulait’s Close To My Heart
Closer is easily identified by the white patch on the left front part of his snout. He sports a long white tail tip that comprises more than 50% of its length. A diminishing feature is a small white streak on top of his head, similar to that of Leone’s, and it will probably disappear in the coming weeks. He is also one of the rambunctious puppies…in fact he is a growler!
Chaulait’s Lion Heart
Leone is easily identified by the zigzag pattern on his right rear collar, and for his red and white chest. As with Closer, Leone sports a small white streak on the top of his head, and it will also probably disappear in the coming weeks. Leone is probably the mellowest of the puppies.
Chaulait’s Heart Of The Matter
Mattie is the lone bitch of the litter and is easily identified by her nearly solid coat. The jury is still out as to the color of her coat, but it may be blue fawn. She is definitely the biggest eater of the litter and carries the sobriquet, Fattie Mattie as evidenced by the 2 to 3 rolls on her shoulder. She kind of looks like a shar pei.
Here is the video of the puppies and their typical, average day.
