Puppies at 7 Weeks Old
The featured image shows what the puppies do so very well…sleep! And when they sleep they can really sleep!
As with the previous weeks the puppies have grown larger and are much more active. They love to romp around, growl and wrestle with each other, and a few of them are barking. Unlike the previous weeks, there are no quiet or timid puppies…each one of them is capable of raising hell!
Today we had a couple of prospective owners viewing the puppies and they were truly captivated by them. As part of socializing the puppies they were allowed to hold and play with them. Some of the puppies are devilish and enjoy chewing on the various stocking feet that were widely present. I can attest that they have their puppy teeth…and they are sharp!
Today Lorraine gave each puppy a chicken neck for the first time. Initially they did not know what to make of it, although Closer quickly learned and took advantage of the confusion. In the end the little sneak ate his chicken neck then proceeded to purloin the tasty morsels from two of his other siblings. When one of the other siblings tried to steal it back Closer quickly turned and bolted the neck down like a lizard with no ill effects! However, with this scene in mind, Lorraine has decided to wait another week or two before issuing more chicken necks.
